Man charged over Tokoroa toddler's death

Police have arrested a man for the murder of a 22-month-old girl in Tokoroa.

Tyler-Maree Flynn died last June after she was taken to hospital by her mother, suffering from severe burns to her face and upper body.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Loper says a 30-year-old man will appear in the Tokoroa District Court today charged with her murder.

Police will not comment on his relationship to the toddler.
