Westlife truck crashes on way to concert, driver injured

A truck carrying Irish boy band Westlife's gear to their New Plymouth concert rolled early this morning, seriously injuring the driver.

The crash happened between Mokau and Piopio about 4.30am.

Promoters said the band were upset at what had happened to the driver, but tonight's show would go ahead.
