The biggest name to fall under an injury cloud ahead of Round 13 AFL 09 Yahoo!7 Fantasy Sports Team action is none other than four-time All-Australian ruckman Dean Cox.
Forty-four percent of all AFL 09 Yahoo!7 Fantasy Sports Team coaches will be sweating over the West Coast point-scoring machine's availability ahead of the Eagles' clash with Hawthorn this weekend.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look good.
While coach John Worsfold didn't entirely discount the possibility of Cox taking on the Hawks, he labelled it a '50-50'chance at best.
However, the groin injury doesn't appear to be serious and one week looks to be the most he will miss.
And as he is clearly the standout ruckman in AFL 09 Yahoo!7 Fantasy Sports Team, there isn't much justification in despatching of his services.
The only rationale for a nigh-on inconceivable axing of Cox ($418,300) would be if you find yourself in a must-win situation in your league. If that is the case, either Drew Petrie ($374,400) or Hamish McIntosh ($354,900) would be your targets but the reality of heading into Round 14 without a fit-again Cox may be too much to cope with. So think over this one carefully!
On the other hand, young Kangaroo Jack Ziebell, who is a member of a third of all AFL 09 Yahoo!7 Fantasy Sports Teams, must be traded immediately.
The Round 7 Rising Star nominee suffered a broken leg against Adelaide and will miss at least six weeks but is a good chance to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
But if you've had him since the beginning, then the kid has certainly done his job for you with his price increasing by a total of $137,200.
If Ziebell is in your forward line, Eddie Betts ($247,700), Brad Miller ($241,000) or Steele Sidebottom ($223,900) would come under consideration but if you have the 18-year-old in your midfield then you should look at Liam Picken ($234,900), Stephen Hill ($233,900) or Sidebottom again.
Western Bulldogs defender Lindsay Gilbee has once again given heart palpations to his 275 AFL 09 Yahoo!7 Fantasy Sports Team coaches.
The 27-year-old injured his ankle at training on Wednesday and there are fears he may have aggravated a foot ligament injury he has been nursing for much of the season.
If that is the case, it doesn't auger well for the rest of the season and it might be time to part ways with Gilbee ($335,800).
Jason Gram ($334,500), Peter Burgoyne ($320,600) or Leigh Harding ($314,500) should fill the void in your backline competently.
