Quake jolts Christchurch

Christchurch was jolted by a magnitude 4.4 earthquake early Monday morning.

The quake was centred 10km northeast of Christchurch at a depth of 8km and was felt in Christchurch, Geonet said.

There were no reports of damage.

It followed a magnitude 3.1 quake about 4.52pm on Sunday.
