Fashion Week in doubt

NZPA October 3, 2009, 3:13 pm

Next year's Dunedin Fashion Week is in doubt if sponsors are not found within two weeks, organisers say.

The not-for-profit event was scheduled for March 8-14, fashion committee chairwoman Susie Staley said.

"We have been talking to a number of potential sponsors and have some exciting talent and new ideas on how we can evolve this event for 2010 and beyond," she said.

"However, we still have a shortfall of funding and we need to secure a commitment within the next two weeks for next year's event to run."

Tickets for this year's event sold out within three hours.
