Police are at the scene of a fatal shooting of a 10-year-old boy in Northland.
The boy was shot in a residential area near the township of Dargaville.
Northland's ambulance boss Tony Devanney says crews found the boy dead on arrival this morning.
Police are investigating and have not yet provided further details.
