Passengers were evacuated from a Christchurch-bound Air New Zealand 737 flight in Wellington today after a hazardous substance spill.
Airport fire crew were investigating the spill in the hold of Air New Zealand flight 422, Wellington Airport spokeswoman Louise Murray said.
The substance had not yet been identified and other fire crews from Wellington were on the way to the scene.
