Occupy protestors return to Aotea Square

Newstalk ZB January 26, 2012, 5:14 pm

Occupy Auckland protestors are back at Aotea Square.

Police turned up in force this morning and bundled 20 people away as security guards pulled down their tents.

Protestor Penny Bright says occupiers are planning to meet at 6pm tonight to review what's happened and decide what to do next.

Occupy Auckland - plain insulting to real protestors - Egypt, Libya, Syria, the Suffragettes for starters. This isn't a protest - it's an embarrassing ego trip by people who really aren't very aware. We're all with you - but your antics are just stupid!

I am a recent migrant to Auckland. Coming from post-quake Christchurch, the affirmed and concerned tone that people adopt when they hear where I’m from is really rather touching, and there has never been a point at which I’ve felt the...
