Sony is recalling an electrical adapter that comes with some VAIO personal computers.
The inner insulation of the AC adaptor may fail during use, possibly resulting in an electrical short.
The VAIO computers VGCLM18G, VGCLM28G (panel PC) and VGPPRFE1 (port replicator) could be affected by the fault, the company said.Owners of these products were asked to visit the website http://www.sony-asia.com/support/announcement/353849 to check if it was part of the recall.
Affected owners should stop using the AC adaptor and phone 0800 766969 to arrange a free replacement.
