Woman charged with Gisborne man's murder

A woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 33-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times in Gisborne.
The man was found by police with stab wounds after they were called to a Childers Road house about 10pm on Tuesday.
He was taken to Gisborne Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
A 30-year-old Gisborne woman was arrested in Opotiki on Wednesday and charged with the man's murder.
She will appear in the Gisborne District Court on Thursday.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Ford said inquiries into the death were ongoing.
A scene examination was also continuing.
The dead man's name will not be released until family have been notified.Explore More
