Quake hits off Bay of Plenty coast
A deep-centred 5.1 quake has been recorded off the Bay of Plenty coast.
The quake, centred 210km deep, struck about 70km northeast of Tauranga at 2.34pm, GNS Science says.
It described the quake as "very deep", and had not received any reports of it being felt.The world in pictures
