A man caught trafficking over $16,000 worth of methamphetamine and cocaine from Auckland to Christchurch has been sentenced to over four years in prison.
Stephen James Malcolm, 46, was caught at Christchurch Airport with $15,000 worth of methamphetamine, known as P, and over $1000 worth of cocaine, which were hidden inside a computer transformer and the cap of a can of shaving foam.
Charged with possession, supply and receiving stolen goods, Malcolm was sentenced to four years and four months jail in the Christchurch District Court, Fairfax reported.
Malcolm has a history of drug offending and violent and sexual offences.A non-parole period wasn't set down as Malcolm had undergone a drug treatment programme.
