Man dies in crash north of Christchurch
A man has died and a teenager is in a serious condition following a car crash near Christchurch during the early hours of Friday.
The crash happened about 1.40am on Flaxton Rd just south of Rangiora, about 30km north of Christchurch, a Canterbury police spokesman says.
The man died at the scene.
The teenager, also a male, remains at Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition, a hospital spokeswoman told NZ Newswire.The world in pictures
