Rest home death not suspicious

NZ Newswire Updated June 1, 2012, 12:03 pm

The sudden death of an elderly Hamilton rest home resident is not suspicious.

Results of a post-mortem examination on the 81-year-old man, who died in Waikato Hospital on Thursday, indicated he died of natural causes, Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton of Hamilton CIB says.

The death has been reported to the coroner.
