Man arrested after AOS call-out

A man has been arrested after armed offenders squad (AOS) officers were called to an Invercargill house on Saturday evening.

Police say the AOS was used to clear a property on Wilfrid Street following a domestic incident.

A loaded firearm was found at the address.

A 40-year-old Invercargill man was arrested at another house on Mary Street.

He has been remanded in custody and is to face a number of charges when he appears in Invercargill District Court on Monday.
