Fiery Hamilton death not suspicious

Police say the fiery death of a man in Hamilton on Wednesday morning is not suspicious and the death will be referred to the coroner.

Emergency services were called to a house in the suburb of Maeroa just after 10am after reports of a fatal fire.

Police later said neither the fire nor the death was considered suspicious.

Detective Sergeant Daryl Smith said the man has yet to be formally identified.
