Big Wednesday jackpots to near-record level
With no lucky winners this week, the Lotto Big Wednesday draw has become substantially bigger.
It's now almost the largest jackpot in history with a whopping $16 million to be won.
A Masterton resident won a record $36 million in 2009, Fairfax Media reports, making this prize the second-largest in history.
A $13 million prize was won in 2006, and an Auckland ticket holder won $10 million earlier this year.The world in pictures
