Palin mask top pick for Halloween

Here's the hottest Halloween costume of the year - a mask of Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

A latex mask of the Alaskan governor has been leading the popularity polls at an online fancy dress shop - outselling the likenesses of her political counterparts Barack Obama and John McCain.

The Sarah Palin mask has also been flying off the shelves quicker than traditional gruesome favourites Freddie Krueger and Michael Myers, a spokesperson for US based Halloween outfitters Costume Kingdom confirmed. Tamir Nadborny said: "We have been inundated with requests for the Sarah Palin Halloween mask. It is proving to be much more popular than the Obama or McCain masks or anything else we do."

However if you wish to go to a Halloween party wearing a Sarah Palin mask it will cost you more.

Of all the political candidates, Palin's mask is the most costly retailing at US$29.95, in comparison to McCain and Obama both priced at US$15.95.
