Poll results - what you thought

Yahoo! New Zealand February 14, 2012, 8:54 am

After the Crafar farms sale was halted this week, we asked if you would like to see a tighter restriction on foreign land ownership.

A majority 24 per cent thought there should be tighter restrictions while 14 per cent thought there was no need. Two per cent were undecided.

The Mojo Mathers issue has got a lot of people talking this week, so we asked Yahoo! readers on Wednesday who should pay for the deaf MP's Parliamentary aid?

Out of the 23,870 votes, 26 per cent of people thought the Government should pay, 51 per cent thought the Green Party should pay, 22 per cent thought Mathers should pay herself and 1 per cent thought the money should come from somewhere else.

Tuesday was Valentine's Day, so we asked if you were going to celebrate the day of love.

Only 22 per cent of voters said they were going to celebrate Valentine's Day - with 2 per cent going all out and 20 per cent doing something small but thoughtful.

A majority 54 per cent said they don't believe in it, while 5 per cent were undecided. 19 per cent of voters didn't have a Valentine.

On Monday, we wanted to see what you thought about New Zealand's sexiest politician after John Key took out the title for the third year running.

It looks like the Durex survey was right again, with John Key taking out 28 per cent of the votes.

Jacinda Adern followed closely behind with 17 per cent of the votes, and Nikki Kaye coming out third with 8 per cent.

David Shearer lagged behind with only 5 per cent of the voters thinking the Labour leader had sex appeal.

But overall, a whopping 42 per cent decided another politician or none were sexy.
