Three years' jail for Thai boy sex tours

NZ Newswire February 14, 2012, 11:25 am

An Auckland man has been jailed for three years for organising an underage sex tour to Thailand.

The 47-year-old motel and property owner was sentenced in the High Court at Auckland on Tuesday.

His name remains suppressed, Fairfax Media reported.

Last year the man was found guilty of organising a child sex tour for an undercover policeman, but not guilty of promoting a child sex tour on his website.

The man was caught out by an undercover police sting, in which an officer using the alias "Michael Gray" approached him seeking to travel to Thailand for sex with underage boys.
