Invercargill man bound and gagged

A 62-year-old man has been bound, gagged and left for four hours during a home invasion in central Invercargill.

Police are investigating the Tuesday afternoon incident, which took place on Conon St in the suburb of Appleby and left the man with minor injuries.

Police said the man was confronted by at least two men at his home at 12pm before being bound and gagged.

He was found by a family member about 4pm.

Police are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area during the time of the incident to come forward.
