The hunt for a Dunedin tramper who failed to return from a short walk on Saturday is to be reviewed by searchers.
David Charles Palmer, 53, hasn't been seen since heading for what was meant to be a three- to four-hour tramp in the remote and rugged Ahuriri Valley east of Omarama.
About 35 people will continue the search for Mr Palmer on Thursday before it is reviewed later in the day to ensure that all possibilities have been covered.
The search will cover areas of the Dingle Burn Track and waterways.Mr Palmer is believed to have a pre-existing medical condition and searchers said they were becoming less hopeful of finding him after five days.
