Earthquake shakes Christchurch
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake has shaken Christchurch this afternoon.
GeoNet reports the quake struck at 2.44pm, 11 km deep and 10km east of the city.
Twitter users have commented the aftershock was felt across Christchurch and shoppers ran out of Eastgate Mall.
There are no immediate reports of damage.
