People trying to smuggle drugs into Wanganui prison are being told they will be caught.
An attempt from a member of the public to throw a bundle of drugs and recordable CDs into the prison was found on a routine perimeter check by the Prison drug dog and handler.
Prison Manager Tony Howe says prisoners have no access to the area where the package was found so the person who threw it clearly missed their goal by quite a distance. He says in the last two weeks 65 grams of cannabis and 20 caps of cannabis oil have been intercepted from coming into Wanganui and Manawatu prisons.
