Performing arts students at Whitireia Polytechnic in Wellington are preparing to perform for royalty today.
Prince Edward is in the capital attending Duke of Edinburgh award ceremonies before flying out to Taupo tonight. He will also visit Weta Workshop and the Wellington Performing Arts Centre.
Performing Arts tutor Tuaine Robati says the prince visited the school on his last visit and students are very excited about performing for him again.
"He wanted to come and see a show and to meet and talk to the students. We're honoured to be receiving him and we can't wait."
The students will perform Maori, Samoan, Cook Island and contemporary dances.
