An eight-year-old Nelson girl's take on the Google New Zealand logo will be used on the website for one day next year.
Amelia Abbott's kiwiana-filled image was picked as the national winner of the Doodle for Google competition, which asked students to give the logo a makeover with the theme "My New Zealand".
Her design used a kiwi, koru, rugby ball, flag and silver fern to spell Google.
The top 20 entries were posted online and received more than 40,000 votes before Amelia's was today announced the victor.
