Three car crash closes major road
A three-car crash on the Wiri Bridge has closed Great South Road for several hours.
Two people are seriously injured after the crash, which happened on the bridge at about 5.45pm.
Emergency services are on the scene.
The road is closed and there diversions in place at Kerrs Road to the north and Browns Road to the south.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area for at least the next three hours.The world in pictures
