The wild weather that hit the country at the weekend should pass, forecasters say.
Torrential downpours affected some parts of Auckland yesterday, but the band of rain will be moving across the country, MetService and Weather Watch analysts told the New Zealand Herald this morning.
Snow warnings were issued yesterday for the Desert Road, Lewis Pass and Arthurs Pass and the Milford Sound road.
Drivers were told to take care around these areas but snowfalls weren't expected to be more than 3cm.
The worst of the weather has passed though, the New Zealand Herald reported today.
The rest of the week should be mostly fine.
