Day care is expensive, as are baby seats, but is this really the best way to transport a child?

This photo, taken by a pedestrian in Shaanxi province is causing outrage online with people wondering just how a father could be so careless.

It shows a boy sitting in a milk crate being towed behind his father’s motorbike in heavy traffic, just next to a bus which could easily kill or injure the child with one wrong move.

"When I first saw this bike coming down the road I thought he had a dog or something in the box and I thought, 'How cruel'," said the pedestrian.

"But when it got closer I could see it was a boy, no older than two and I was horrified."

The child on the other hand, seems totally cool with his crate/baby capsule.
