We will remember them

Anzac Day is a day where New Zealanders and Australians come together to commemorate those who have served their countries over the years.

April 25 marks the anniversary of the Australian New Zealand Army Corps' (ANZACS) landing in Gallipoli in World War One in 1915 - New Zealand's first major engagement of WWI, which saw thousands lose their lives.

Anzac Day commemorations this year will see dawn parades and civic ceremonies across the country with returned servicemen and members of the armed forces and their families joining with the public.
