Bomb blasts ripped through the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton hotels in Jakarta's business district on Friday July 17 (NZ time), killing nine people including one New Zealander, Tim Mackay, and wounding dozens of others.
Eye witnesses have described two powerful explosions that tore through the hotels sending glass and debris flying and leaving blood splattered on the street.
JAKARTA (Reuters) - Six people were killed and many more were wounded in nearly simultaneous bomb blasts at the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton hotels in central Jakarta on Friday, Indonesian police said.
