Swine Flu Sweeps Globe

New Zealand is at the face of a global health crisis with numerous Auckland secondary school students in isolation after returning home from a school trip to Mexico where they have potentially contracted influenza A - a strain of the deadly swine flu virus.

Outbreaks have been recorded in the US and Canada and suspected cases have been reported in Spain as well as New Zealand.

Border controls around the world's airports are on high alert after advice from the World Health Organisation who declared a public health emergency of international concern.
