Thursday, April 5 Government health authorities have apologised to a Christchurch woman wrongly diagnosed more than 40 years ago as a schizophrenic, a drug user and an alcoholic and given 200 bouts of electric shock therapy. Joan Bellingham, 59, claims she was bullied by a nursing tutor when she was 17 years old because she was a lesbian, The Press reports.
