The 12-year-old boy attacked by a dog in bush near Turangi is in a stable condition after undergoing his first round of surgery. The boy, who was bitten on the face by the dog, was flown to Waikato Hospital after the attack on Wednesday afternoon. The boy's facial injuries will require more surgery, but for now he is recovering in a ward, a hospital spokeswoman says.
