More than 80 firefighters spent three hours battling a blaze at a large commercial building in Auckland on Friday morning. The fire on Ti Rakau Drive in East Tamaki started before 5am and after being drenched by firefighters was finally put out about 8am, a Fire Service northern communications spokesman told NZ Newswire. It is believed the fire started in a bowling alley in the complex which houses a number of shops including a large Harvey Norman department store.
