New Zealand's biggest employment dispute came in with a whopping $4.29 million price tag. Three Ashburton men were found guilty of leaving their former employer, Rooney Earthmoving, in 2004, and taking business, clients, and key information with them. Although exact damages were hard to determine because of the Christchurch earthquake, Judge Travis found the men guilty of breaching their contracts and the new business has since been placed into recievership.
