The fatal shot which killed Manawatu farmer Scott Guy was likely fired from just metres away, with his killer on a grass verge to the left of his driveway, a court has heard. ESR forensic scientist Kevan Walsh is giving evidence in the High Court at Wellington, where Ewen Macdonald is on trial accused of murdering Mr Guy - his brother-in-law - in his Aorangi Road driveway near Feilding, on July 8, 2010. Mr Walsh told the court Mr Guy was shot first on the underside of his chin, with shotgun pellets passing from the left to the right side of his neck.
