A junior Labour MP has apologised for comparing the National Party to Hitler after asset sales legislation passed on Tuesday. Wigram MP Megan Woods took to social networking site Twitter on Tuesday evening to attack National's claim that it has a mandate to sell shares in four state-owned energy companies because of its election win last year - despite overwhelming public opposition to the idea. "Hitler had a pretty clear manifesto that he campaigned and won on. Question: does this make what he did ok @NZNationalParty?" Ms Woods tweeted.
