Four Chinese tourists have been badly injured in a bus crash near Te Anau, after the coach slid on black ice, flipped onto its side and hit a power pole. The accident happened on Thursday morning on the Te Anau-Mossburn Highway, or State Highway 94, about 4km north of Mossburn. The coach, operated by Worldway Travel and carrying 30 people, had been travelling behind another bus at about 40-50km/h when it hit the ice, spun 180 degrees and went off the road backwards, police said. It landed on its side and hit the power pole.
