The bus company boss run over by a bus in Wellington on Thursday is in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital. Tim Brown suffered severe head injuries and a collapsed lung after being hit by a bus on Willis Street near the intersection with Mercer Street in the central city about 1pm. He is a well-known director of Infratil, the Wellington-based infrastructure investment company that lost its founder Lloyd Morrison to cancer in February. "His condition is serious and he is in intensive care in Wellington Hospital," Infratil chief executive Marko Bogoievski said. "All our thoughts and prayers are with Tim and his family at this time." Infratil owns NZ Bus, the largest public transport operator in Auckland and Wellington with more than 1000 buses. Mr Brown is one of the directors that oversees that investment.
