The two New Zealand soldiers killed in Afghanistan have been named by the Defence Force. They were Lance Corporal Pralli Durrer, 26, of Christchurch, and Lance Corporal Rory Malone, 26, of Auckland. Both were on their first deployments to Afghanistan but had served in East Timor between 2006 and 2007, Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant General Rhys Jones told a press conference in Wellington on Monday. Their bodies had been taken to Bagram air base for repatriation.
