Dozens of cars have been broken into in the Lower Hutt suburb of Kelson overnight. Police say three teenagers walked through the streets breaking into as many as 30 cars. A large stash of stolen property, including iPods, stereo speakers, cellphones and GPS units were found in a stolen car in a nearby street. Police say it appears that some of the cars had been left unlocked, prompting a warning for owners to ensure they always lock their vehicles.
