A freak accident with a flying cow has seen a 53-year-old woman flown to Tauranga Hospital with spinal injuries. The woman and her husband, both experienced farmers, were loading the top level of a stock truck at their farm in Pongakawa, around 30km east of Tauranga. A cow jumped off the loading ramp and landed on top of the woman.
