Two teenage rowers have been rescued after they fell out of their skiff off the Petone foreshore. The girls from the Petone Rowing Club were training last evening when they capsized, a support boat from the club was at hand and took them on board. But then the boat had engine failure and started to get blown out to sea in offshore winds. One of the rowers decided to swim to shore to raise the alarm, someone on shore was watching and phoned police.
