It's every driver's worst nightmare - a speeding car with no brakes.
This US woman was trapped doing 190km/h down a US freeway, with only a steering wheel to guide her, when her accelerator became stuck.
The terrified woman even had to drive on the median strip to dodge trucks and cars, as she called 911 for assistance.
But all police could do was watch on in horror until the 35-minute ordeal came to an end.
Watch below to see how it ended.

But what if the gear won't shift into neutral because its jammed in drive. Sounds like the accelarator could not be unstuck. Using the handbrake at 190km/h doesn't seem feasible. Could it be an electrical /hydraulic problem. She said she tried everything. But in actual fact, she did more than that because no one was killed or injured.

ReplyPeople are commenting that the woman should have turned off the engine. For those ignorant trolls who don't seem to understand how a car works, if you turn off the engine not only would you lose the assistance of power steering which would making steering extremely difficult, you would also lose all braking power. Try pumping your brakes while your car is turned off before you set off on your next journey and tell me what happened to the pedal..What about using the handbrake? I dare you to pull up the handbrake while travelling at 190kph! I wouldn't dare even at 80...The car while go into an uncontrollable tail slide which would then probably roll and cause more harm than good...Congratulations on providing lethal advice.
