Our readers' views are important to us - that's why we want to get your opinions every day on a range of subjects.

So we thought it was time for a little feedback...

Our daily poll asks you what you think about a topic in the news, whether it's raising rego, having a brothel operating near your home or the right fine for taking a cat's life.

At the moment we're working on a way to publish the results of our questions but in the meantime, here's a look at how you voted over the past couple of weeks:

On March 17 we asked you: Does NZ need an anti-terrorist squad?
6558 of you responded.
And this is how the votes tallied up:
Yes - we need to be prepared in case of attacks: 4732
No - who would bother attacking us? 1218
Maybe just for the Rugby World Cup: 608

On March 18 we asked you: What are you doing to be an eco-friendly shopper?
4026 of you responded.

I use my own shopping bags: 1975
I only buy products with recyclable packaging: 207

    Well I believe ,as do a lot of users, that these polls can and are rigged to suit the outcome you require!!
    I am refering to the recent poll regarding compensation for David Bain.
    I attempted to vote "NO" but got blocked.Tried a few times and then thought Id test it by voting "YES" and it was accepted!!!Was that a coincidence?
