Like the rest of the world, I'm quite into all things vampire at the moment so it's great news that True Blood is making a welcome return to our small screens here in NZ.
I also confess to being a little bit of a nosey parker (okay, a lot!) so I'm also keen to check out the chemistry between Kiwi lass Anna Paquin and her sexy co-star who's now also her fiance. Cue lots of playground-ish 'woohoos' on my part...
But off-screen dalliances aside, it's a great and refreshing show and with so many questions unanswered at the close of series one, I'm glad the wait is over.
What does the future hold for Sookie and Bill? Who is the mysterious woman being so helpful to Tara? Is Sam still pining for Sookie? Has Jason found God? And, where is Lafayette?
In the first episode, which screens tonight (Wednesday) at 9.30pm on Prime, a shocking murder outside Merlotte's has Bon Temps reeling. Meanwhile, Sookie's relationship with Bill is tested when she learns about Jessica, and of his involvement in her uncle's death.
Sam recalls a shape-shifting encounter he had with Maryann as a 17-year-old. Jason gets a sudden windfall that allows him to pay for a leadership retreat with the Fellowship of the Sun and two adversaries find themselves sharing a mysterious dungeon and, possibly, the same fate.
So far, so steamy - and our girl Anna has been open about how her relationship has helped make her sex scenes a little easier to bear, telling a US mag, "Obviously, if you're already with that person then you're not having to sort of get over the 'Wow, I'm naked with someone that I don't even know the middle name of!' "

"Like the rest of the world"... Very selective view of the world, obviously. "I'm quite into all things vampire at the moment"..... Follow the fashion of the crowd, don't try to be different and show individuality. :-)
Aug 19 06:07 amI'm one of the few who was 'quite into all things vampire' before the rest of the world caught on and I would LOVE to watch True Blood but unfortunately I can't get Prime!
Aug 19 01:10 pmFINALLY!
Aug 20 02:26 pmSince reading Paranormal novels that kick ass and are NOT the typical twilight novels, but are more down right dirty and gritty. There has never been a more addictive programme, that I only happened to find and watch on Youtube, that captures the essence of a good contemporary Paranoramal novel bringing it to the box with a good dose of "DRAMANCE"! .
Yeah sucks that I dont get Prime very well where we live too, unless your raking in the dosh for sky(you lucky ducky SKY subsc

We wont be missing True blood episodes, Its just a matter of hunting down what your hungry eyes are greedy for lol
"Like the rest of the world" - I must be living on a different planet, because I certainly am not into all things vampire. It is sick, stupid stuff that will only contaminate your mind. Look how much of this rubbish, which includes programmes with loads of violence, blood, death and the like, has crept into our living rooms over the past decades, and then look at the statistics of the deterioration in human behaviour. Don't tell me the two ain't linked!
