Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say two Windsor residents were killed in a Wednesday afternoon crash in Lambton County.

The crash happened around 1 p.m. ET at the intersection of Inwood Road and Courtright Line, which is between the communities of Oil Springs and Alvinston.

Authorities say a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided.

The vehicle's driver, a 79-year-old from Windsor, was transported to hospital by air ambulance and later pronounced dead.

The passenger, who was 77 and also from Windsor, died at the scene, police say.

Neither of their identities will be released by the OPP.
