With summer just around the corner, Sydneysiders are spending their weekends seeking out the best beaches to melt spend the day. Those of us in the Harbour City are spoilt for choice, but finding a beach so close to the CBD that is great for people of all ages is an absolute win in our books – especially if it's got great views.

A stunning beach just 30 minutes from Sydney CBD is known as one of the city's "best-kept secrets" and has been described as offering a "slice of Europe" to Aussie beachgoers. Camp Cove in Sydney's Watsons Bay is a fan favourite thanks to its convenient location and beautiful Sydney Harbour views.

A Sydney mum-of-one tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the beach is also great for families with young children. She says, "Camp Cove is one of my favourite harbour beaches. The water is always pristine and calm, so it is perfect for a dip, especially with a baby. There are no stairs and some unofficial pram parking along the boardwalk, making it super easy to get in and out as a family.

"Also, the iconic lemon sorbet from the kiosk is the most delicious way to cool down."

It's true: beachgoers love Camp Cove Kiosk's $8 lemon sorbet, which comes in a real lemon and adds to those European vibes, as do the many orangs hanging from it! They sell beach towels, food, coffee, ice creams, drinks, including mocktails (!!) and more. Another plus is that the beach has changing rooms, toilets, and showers!

TikTok user @aimssimpson shared a video of the beach, showing people scuba diving, lazing by the water and swimming. She wrote, "The most dreamy beach in Sydney," with many Sydneysiders sharing their love for the spot too.

"Totally agree, had the best time ever there," one user commented.

"Love this amazing place," another agreed.

"Agreed, it's up there with the best for being on the harbour and so close to the city," a third said.

"I normally go to Camp Cove but the best part is jumping off the rock (only when it's high tide)," someone else added.

However, some people have said that the parking situation isn't amazing, so either catch public transport or get there early!
