Video shows motorcyclist flung from his bike in one of two high-speed pursuits

Footage has been released showing the incredible moment a motorbike rider was flung from his bike and rolled repeatedly across a Perth street.

It was one of two police pursuits on Thursday night. In the other, a police dog was kicked in the face.

A motorcyclist was trying to escape police when his getaway came to a sudden end on Swamp Road in Forrestdale.

The rider lost control, his bike flipped and he rolled repeatedly across the ground.

Somehow, despite the speed allegedly involved, he staggered to his feet uninjured and waited for police.

The man faces five charges including driving without a licence.

A second dangerous pursuit came to a fiery end in Perth’s eastern suburbs.

Detectives said the driver of a Ford Mondeo was speeding down the wrong side of Roe Highway.

The chase started at 10pm on Thursday night on Lord Street in Brabham and ended in Hazelmere, after one of the tyres blew.

The car, which was carrying for people, was dumped.

A foot chase turned to farce when one of the wanted men struggled to climb a fence and, seconds later, another man fell over a bush.

A police dog called ‘Slam’ and his handler managed to catch two of those that allegedly ran from the car.

One of them kicked the police dog in the head before being bitten on the leg.

The other man was bitten on the thigh. Police apprehended both of them.

Slam was not injured but the two men he bit were taken to hospital.

Two men and a woman have been charged.

High-speed chases are known for their dramatic finishes - and many have been caught on camera.
